Founded in the 40s, The Mental Health Association of East Tennessee serves the East Grand Division, including Blount County, and is dedicated to the promotion of mental health awareness, wellness and recovery in our communities to build a behavioral health system which meets the needs of our community.
What We Do
MHAET provides noteworthy early intervention programs, advocacy, and peer support. Education and awareness are provided to the community on mental health issues to encourage help-seeking behaviors and understanding of others. The Peer Recovery Call Center also provides information, resources, and support to those that are struggling or those who support someone with mental health issues to encourage the start of their own journeys toward recovery.
