Gentiva Hospice Volunteer Program: Volunteers with Heart 

Hospice and long-term care services provide critical support, but no system can replace what a caring neighbor or volunteer can offer: time, attention, and human connection.

Too many older adults spend their final months of life isolated from the communities they helped build. Families may live far away, caregivers can be stretched thin, and when the people around us are overwhelmed, loneliness can become invisible.

It doesn't have to be that way. 

We can start with our own communities.

If you have a few hours each month, you can make a difference. Sit with someone. Listen to their stories. Share a cup of coffee. Sometimes simply showing up is enough to remind someone that they matter.

If you have the time and the heart to serve, consider becoming a hospice volunteer.

Don't just believe in strong communities. Help build one.
